  • Whoredom Rife (NOR) – Dommedagskvad LP 28.88

    Black Metal

Whoredom Rife was forged in silence during 2013 and 2014 in the outskirts of Nidaros, Norway. The band was founded by V. Einride and K.R in 2014, based on new ideas and ideas dating back as far as the early nineties. The idea behind the band is to breathe new life into the art form and lifestyle that we know as so called ‘True Norwegian Black Metal’. With Dommedagskvad they have clearly succeeded to combine all elements of the genre yet perfecting it their own way. It’s nothing new, yet so honest, well crafted and unique sounding it’s hard not to be drawn into the Whoredom Rife universe. After the highly acclaimed self-titled MLP released late last year, the expectations are beyond high for this LP. You will not be disappointed!

  • Whoredom Rife (NOR) – Winds Of Wrath LP 30.88

    Black Metal

Six new hymns of traditional Norwegian Black Metal, heavily rooted in the 90ies glory days, or as V.Einride says; “we’re not retro, we’re just late”.

Both K.R and V. Einride having more than 30 years longevity in the Norwegian Black Metal scene, the band is not exactly new to this.

Epic and grandiose, melancholic and utterly aggressive; Winds of Wrath is truly a tumultous ride to Hell and back.

  • Windir (NOR) – 1184 COLORED DLP 34.88

    Black Metal

WINDIR’s third record ‘1184’ (2001) marked a stylistic change from its predecessor.
While the album is still very much rooted in black metal and heavily breathes atmosphere, Valfar and co-songwriter Hvall stared experimenting with electronic influences. Because of this, the album provoked mixed reactions upon its release.
Now, 20 years after its original release, ‘1184’ is seen as the album that pushed WINDIR to new creative heights and regarded by many fans as their absolute best.

  • Windir (NOR) – Arntor COLORED DLP 34.88

    Black Metal

Regarded today as a hallmark in the folk / viking black metal scene, the influence of WINDIR’s sophomore record ‘Arntor’ (1999) is not to be underestimated and can be easily compared to that of BATHORY.
The roots that put down with debut ‘Sóknadalr’ were strengthened with this album. Combining icy guitar riffs and building atmosphere with epic melodies, ‘Arntor’ is the album that introduced the band to an international audience and is widely recognized as an inspiration for many folk / pagan metal bands today.

  • Windir (NOR) – Likferd COLORED DLP 34.88

    Black Metal

On WINDIR’s fourth and final full-length ‘Likferd’ (2003), many of the folk elements that characterized the band’s previous records were pushed to the background in favor of a stronger black metal influence.
The last record that Valfar wrote before he passed, ominously translated as ‘funeral’, marked a change to a much darker and brooding atmosphere. While ‘Likferd’ has mostly remained in the shadows of ‘Arntor’ and ‘1184’, it is an album that saw WINDIR mature and for that reason is another important chapter of the band’s legacy.

    Black Metal

WINDIR’s debut ‘Sóknadalr’ was released in 1997.
Whereas many bands take years to develop a signature sound, founding member Valfar knew the direction he wanted to take from the start.
One can immediately recognize the trademark Sognametal style from this cult classic, featuring the synth melodies combined with raw black metal, harsh and clean vocals, inspired by the sweeping views of the Sognefjord.

  • Winterblood (ITA) – Finsternis DLP 34.88

    Polar Ambient

A contradictory album in some ways, as noted above: it is both airy and oppressive. Light wafts of uplifting chords swell magnificently to greet us, but lurking just beneath the surface are those hints of something darker at work. And that artful repetition: it becomes a burden after it’s been carried for a while, and only becomes heavier. Furthermore, in reality these four pieces never really begin or end – they’ve always been in existence, waiting for the receptive to catch their mournful refrains. And that cover image by British painter, illustrator, and author Walford Graham Robertson (1866 – 1948) – nothing could encapsulate the hidden occult power of ancient woodland better than this starkly monochrome illustration.
