Silver Knife are a Belgian/Dutch/French black metal entity driven by an aggressive melancholy, and Unyielding/Unseeing is their first public recording. Written and recorded in Belgium during the Summer of 2019, these six songs embody both a reminiscence and departure from the musical styles the musicians have exhibited through bands like Cult of Erinyes, Hypothermia, Laster and Nusquama. Skalf è un progetto musicale creato nel 2020 da due membri di Umbra Noctis, extreme metal band attiva dal 2005. La loro musica si distingue per un sound a nostro avviso piuttosto particolare, influenzato tanto dal black metal atmosferico quanto dal death/doom degli anni novanta, con un tocco quasi heavy, che si percepisce in particolare negli assoli di chitarra.
Il monicker “Skalf” deriva del nome dialettale della Val di Scalve (àl de Scàlf), vallata montana delle Orobie cui siamo molto legati; questo progetto è (e sarà sempre) focalizzato sulle vicende avvenute, raccontate e tramandate in quella terra. “Vallis Decia” è un concept sul disastro del Gleno, tragedia colposa di cui quest’anno si celebra il centenario.In stock

The disc contains a total of eight songs from the band Skrewdriver’s work. Then as now, it was by no means a regular LP, but rather a compilation of songs from singles and samplers from the period 1977 to 1987. Compared to the original, two songs that were index-relevant on other Skrewdriver recordings had to be removed from this disc. “I don’t like you” and “Boots & Braces” flew down, “Shove the dove” and “Smash the I.R.A.” were newly added.

Here comes Froide! Re-release of the Skrewdriver “B & H” album, which can no longer be distributed in Absurdistan due to the title. The recordings have been digitally remastered and the sound has been improved again compared to the 2007 edition. Compared to the 2007 LP edition, unfortunately more tracks had to give way here, but they were more than equally replaced by three sampler songs.
Since the material contained here can be regarded as valuable in terms of contemporary history, all those who either came too late with the release of that time or who want to complete their Skrewdriver collection with an official re-release should grab this one.
