As is well known, Klansmen was a studio project consisting of Ian Stuart Donaldson (Skrewdriver) and other well-known musicians from the subcultural English music scene. For legal reasons, no specific names are mentioned here, but anyone who knows a little about the music scene at the time and has kept an eye on the music scene at the time knows that at least one person from a well-known Psycho Billy band was involved here.

The album was recorded at Sunlight Studio, Stockholm, Sweden, in 1989, when the band was known under the original name Treblinka. The track “Sumerian Cry, Pt. 1” is a re-interpretation of the intro melody from “Crawling in Vomit”, the first track off Treblinka’s first demo. Since the mid-90’s Tiamat has been employing a live keyboard player for all of their concerts, hiring them from well-known metal acts such as Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, Cradle of Filth and Evergrey.
