After a compilation based on works from the past, Lord Valtgryftåke “Buried Under the Carved Runes” is a totally fresh and very characteristic facet of this veteran is now shown. A sound coupling of rustic, old and classic aspect of the old pioneering hordes of black metal, this work enhances with malevolent winds some of the chamber recordings, never finished rehearsals etc, all this made available again in a new and characterful album.

Leaving a really interesting overture together with an intense lyrical message, pagan and full of southern mysticism. One of the main decisions to take into consideration was to venture into the old Nordic, Greek and Polish sounds to give an evil form to this new spectrum and transcend various parameters of minimalism orchestrated by a black twilight…

Horned Lord Of The Thorned Castle is a perfect combination of the atmosphere from Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity and the rawness of Nightwind: The Conqueror from the Stars, the band’s two EPs released in 2022 and early 2023.

Moonlight Sorcery wants to raise the bar, and these new nine songs have even more melodic hooks and shreddy guitar work. Frozen synth walls further develop the Finnish trio’s unique sound, a vibe you cannot find in any other black metal record.

Horned Lord Of The Thorned Castle follows a specific narrative, and its nine compositions tell a single tale, with every song starting where the previous one left off. “Basically, our debut could be a single 44-minute song”, the band said. One of the pioneering industrial black metal forces to emerge in the early 90’s, Mysticum brought to the world a completely unique brand of extreme & psychedelic discordant black metal with insane drum machine patterns & synths. They were originally signed to Euronymous’ Deathlike Silence Productions label, such was his belief in the band (Mysticum even featured Hellhammer from Mayhem in their line-up for a brief period). However, this venture proved to be cut short following his death, forcing Mysticum to look elsewhere for the release of their eventual debut album, ‘In the Streams of Inferno’, finally surfacing in 1996.

Odium is a name that hasn’t been talked about much in the symphonic black metal scene. Formed in 1994, the Norwegian band didn’t release much besides a demo, a single, and their only studio album “The Sad Realm of the Stars”. The 1998 album received little recognition when it was first released since it was seen as more of a Limbonic Art knockoff. However, when you give the album a listen, you’ll see that it’s more than just a cheap ripoff of Limbonic Art. Not only does it expand upon the Limbonic Art sound, but it also stands out in its own ways.
