  • Krolok (SK) – Flying Above Ancient Ruins LP 26.88

    Black Metal

  • Krolok (SK) – Funeral Winds & Crimson Sky RED LP 26.88

    Black Metal

This album is a retrospective look into the past, where old forlorn ruins and obscurity reign over desolate landscapes. Gazing back also into my own past, I have re-recorded a song originally included on the demo tape of my old band Helcaraxe, composed back in 2003. Delve deep in and listen… listen to the atmospheres of an arcane night and return within your thoughts into bygone times…

472x bloodred 12″ (180g) in a black poly-lined innerbag, download card, 8 page A5 booklet, full-color on 180g art paper, gatefold jacket, full-color on 350g, all assembled in a PVC overbag.

  • Krolok (SK) – When The Moon Sang Our Songs MAGENTA LP 26.88

    Black Metal

Live demo recorded at a private gig in the autumn of 2013 during the band’s earlier days. The songs are thereby reduced to a more primal, barbaric form.

Extra material is provided by a cover of Carpathian Forest’s 90s classic “When Thousand Moons Have Circled” and a special ambient composition “Cosmic Rituals” that delves into the darker, more introspective aspects of Krolok.

Re-issue, 300x magenta 12″ (140g) in a black poly-lined innersleeve, download card, gatefold full-color on 350g, coated paper (semi-gloss), all assembled in a plastic overbag.

  • Marduk (SWE) – World Funeral MARBLE LP 26.88

    Black Metal

“World Funeral” album (2003), which marked the last opus with singer Legion and to the very day remains a flawless, hateful yet varied Swedish black metal attack. Created in close cooperation with the band, this re-release features remastered sound (done by bassist Devo Andersson), detailed liner notes, unpublished photos, revamped artwork by Death Wolf vocalist Maelstrom.

Re-issue, 398x white with black marble effect 12″ (180g) in a microtene innerbag, printed innersleeve full-color on 220g, jacket full-color and black flood inside on 350g, all assembled in a PVC overbag.

  • Melechesh (ISR) – Emissaries LP 23.88

    Black Metal

For over 25 years now, MELECHESH have been crafting a singular sound that encompasses black metal, death metal, and most uniquely, Middle Eastern folk music. That they were Israel’s most known black metal export is only part of the MELECHESH story, for that story would mean nothing if there weren’t classic albums to back it up. Of them, the band’s three-album run on OSMOSE in the early/mid 2000s – Djinn, Sphynx, and Emissaries – is widely considered to be the band’s best work.

  • Minenwerfer (USA) ‎– Alpenpässe MARBLE DLP 30.88

    Black Metal

Since their formation in 2007, MINENWERFER have pursued a proud ‘n’ pure vision of black metal idiosyncratically focused on World War I – idiosyncratic, in the sense that the band hail from America but mostly sing in German. What has resulted is a startlingly accomplished canon that has quietly built itself into prolific proportions, with their first album arriving in 2010, followed by albums in 2012 and 2019, and a slew of split releases and EPs in the interim.

That third album, Alpenpässe, is arguably MINENWERFER’s grandest work yet. While seven years separated it from its full-length predecessor, Nihilistischen, the payoff was well worth it: its six songs in nearly an hour are towers of incomparable might. Everything here is free and flowing, with the bountifully rising/falling melodies pulling at the listener’s heartstrings and casting an ominous (and eminently playable) spell that simply needs to be experienced to be believed. This is MINENWERFER at their most powerful and poignant.

    Black Metal

Since their formation in 2007, MINENWERFER have pursued a proud ‘n’ pure vision of black metal idiosyncratically focused on World War I – idiosyncratic, in the sense that the band hail from America but mostly sing in German. Of those many short-length releases, Der Rote Kampfflieger is the oldest and perhaps most curious. Here, MINENWERFER offered the new track “Ace of Aces,” the reworked “Albatros in Flammen,” and two very surprising covers: deep martial industrial artist Striider’s “Schüzengraben” and legendary shredder Yngwie J. Malmsteen’s early scorcher “I am a Viking.” MINENWERFER for sure have their own identifiable sound.

Of those many short-length releases, Kriegserklärung can conveniently be seen as a companion to an album release – in this case, 2012’s thick-yet-throttling Nihilistischen. And yet, where that album saw MINENWERFER inching closer to a palatable professionalism, the 24-minute Kriegserklärung fully bursts through those doors with a startling clarity, setting the stage for the band’s grand 2019 full-length, Alpenpäesse.
