“ A mid-tempo black metal act that due to the lower pace and also some synth usage presents its aesthetic between lo-fi and atmospheric subgenres of this genre, but still supported by a quite harmonious songwriting and thus delivering a fabulous pitch black starting pack. While I perceive it to be a mid-paced approach it does not always stay like that. It brings some damaging portions of blackness to the table on a few faster occasions , giving a glimpse on what it could be if the tempo was slightly faster while also presenting a few nice details over the drumming. However the core of this act resides on those slower hypnotic sections blending the ghastly vocals with the atmospheric and synth mix, which are very well performed as well.”

After three highly acclaimed albums Envoy Of Lucifer represents the fourth and last full-length of NIFELHEIM.
Originally released in 2007, the album is certainly the most professional out of the bunch. Benefitting from a rather clean all-analogue production and many years as musicians under their belts the record, most notably, surprises with intricate arrangements, proficient guitar solos and the introduction of new elemts to NIFELHEIM`s sound.
Hellbutcher`s and Tyrant`s lifelong worship of IRON MAIDEN has never been more apparent than on Envoy Of Lucifer too.
Despite all this, the album is still 100 % NIFELHEIM with all of their trademarks from previous releases intact.

Inspired by hatred and some of the vilest and darkest Metal of the 80s, Sweden`s most demented twins, Hellbutcher and Tyrant, came up with their only demo Unholy Death, spawned in hell in 1993.

Although the tracks immortalized on this demo are poorly recorded and rather amateurishly performed they already and unmistakenly bear some of the trademarks the band would come to be worshipped for. Hellbutcher`s insane, utterly
possessed screams and their songwriting talent and sense for melody turn the demo into a must-have not only for loyal worshippers of the band but for anyone into early SODOM, early BATHORY or TREBLINKA.
