Their debut from 1995 that opened the door to a great career and established them among fans of atmospheric and contemporary extreme sound everywhere. Here we have it for the first time on 12″ vinyl for the 30th anniversary of its release. A blend of doom/death with several melodic/gothic passages. Nostalgic and even depressing, it comes from an era when bands like Anathema, Draconian, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Amorphis etc. were in their early stages and along with the …And The Wings Embraced Us left their indelible marks on time as it unfolds 3 decades later. The first full-length black metal onslaught of Chilean Black Metal project Aarkanne, Mysterii, which followed the release of the debut Aarkanne demo entitled ‘De Profundis’ which was unveiled in November, 2020. Emerging from the void of black devotion, Vampirska, The U.S.-based Raw Black Metal entity offers two of it’s most decrepit hymns yet. Walls of overwhelming chaos and depravity with the essence of mysterious and punishing raw black metal that emits an enchanting hypnoticism. The bombardment of devastation is met with another familiar entity of the grotesque and disgusting chambers; Wampyric Rites, the Ecuadorian spectre of the Black Metal Plague Circle. A two-part deliverance of malevolance and agony that call forth an intense massacre of total hatred and suffering. The conspiracy of these two entities brings four summonings to be unleashed onto the hordes.

Negros Manifestos de Ordem Venusiana, a split LP presented on noble vinyl, to honor the ancient ways.
Indeed, both hordes wholly honor the ancient ways, and understandably are two of the mightiest and most respected hordes in Portugal’s nowadays raw black metal scene.
Negros Manifestos de Ordem Venusiana is something of an intergenerational pairing, however, as MONS VENERIS have been prolifically polluting the underground since 2003 while ORDEM SATANICA, by comparison, started their near-equally prolific onslaught in 2014.
Nevertheless, as representatives of the Portuguese Black Metal, here on Negros Manifestos de Ordem Venusiana do both hordes create provocative portrayals of their unique darkness and despair.
ORDEM SATANICA are on Side A and unfurl three haunting and medieval tracks, roaming the castle with that spectral rawness they’ve truly made their own the last few years.
MONS VENERIS are on Side B and offer an epic, side-long track that roams the rawest dungeons, spanning punkish bash and hypnotic hysteria alike, torrents of noise to ruin your soul.

An establishment of new sounds, and an extension of familiar sounds, “Vermillion Apparitions Frozen in Chimera Twilight” is VAMPIRSKA at it’s strongest and most enchanting. Six tracks that stylistically expand on what was previously known to be the VAMPIRSKA sound, redefined into darkness with an all-destroying ritual for the supernatural devastation that captures the unfamiliar essence of the entity. VAMPIRSKA reignites the black flame to burn stronger than ever with its most deadly display of black metal carnage to date.

The SELVHAT magnum opus Gjennom Mørket Famlende will always be a personal favorite of mine. This is where, in my honest opinion, he peaked before he left us, and yet I feel we had even bigger things to come, but alas.
Written, recorded and performed by himself with assistance from E.Blix, also playing drums on these recordings.
Absolutely mesmerizing, chilling Black Metal perfection, I will never stop praising this album!
Even looking back at playing an instrumental CD-r version back in the day, I instantly knew this was something special, and to this day I still think this is one unique album and one of my favorite albums.
Although slightly updated/adjusted layout, this release remains true to the original.

By now, IRAE should require little introduction. Since the dawn of this cursed millennium, mainman Vulturius has prolifically pursued a singular vision of RAW BLACK METAL that includes four full-lengths and countless split releases with likeminded comrades. As such, IRAE have almost singlehandedly invigorated Portugal’s black metal scene, particularly the rawer iteration of it, and more recently find themselves aligned with the elite Black Circle, alongside MONS VENERIS, VETALA, Decrepitude, and Rainha Cólera. Fans since the beginning, SIGNAL REX are honored to be aligned with Vulturius for IRAE’s long-awaited fifth album.

Building upon that grand fortress is a four-song/22-minute mini-album likewise truly titled: The Oath of the Black Wolf. Here, ORGREL have gone a-hunting, their ’90s black metal classicism stalking and striking with a hunger only hinted at previously. Still, fueled by this fire they may be, the Italians across this mini manage to maximize their epic side, with the predecessor’s flat-yet-full soundfield now becoming slightly more chromatic in the process. Lead lines portend dark truths, ever building in tension and then grandeur, but the record’s swift-yet-satisfying runtime reveals the darkest, most intrinsic truth: black metal doesn’t need to “become” anything when it already IS. Hail The Oath of the Black Wolf!
